TWD - french brownies

Unfortunately, my home internet connection is on the fritz and I'm really having to work hard on bar prep, so this week's post is going to have to be quick.

I tried to do the raisins, because I figured that they were what made these brownies special. Alas, I had no source of fire in my house. I tried. I ran around frantically looking for fire while the run evaporated away. Rather than try to put them in without the burn-off, I dumped them. It seemed safer.

Other than that, it was a pretty straight-forward recipe, and was perfectly fine.

They look delicious, raisins or not. Good luck on the bar! Hopefully, you will be able to use these weekly recipes as a nice diversion.

I think a lot of people didn't get flame. The alcohol evaporated off too quickly. Pretty brownies though!

Oh no. I hate it when I forget about something like that and have to run around while something on the stove is depending on me. Oh well, they look great anyway!

In all my reading today I've seen lots of people who didn't get flames. Oh well, I'm sure we'll have another flambe recipe someday.

Your brownies look fabulous!

It is kind of funny to think of no fire in your house. I have to light my stove with a match everytime I want to use it. I would at a loss without fire here!

LOL! I had to laugh at the thought of your running around in search of fire! Hopefully you'll make another attempt with fire, but your brownies look perfect to me.
